I was recently working with a client on their marketing strategy and thought it would make a good topic for my newsletter
Marketing covers a lot of ground so let’s look at ten questions which should lead to practical ideas to improve your situation and help you beat your competition:
- What is your business model and is it working for you?
- Where do you make your profit?
- What is your delivery model?
- Who are your key customers?
- Thinking about your best customers what problems do they have and how do you help to solve them?
- What do your customers hate about what you are selling?
- How do you generate referrals?
- How do you position yourself as an expert?
- Does your website give the right impression?
- How easy is it for a potential customer to get a quote?
Your marketing plan should cover not just the mechanics of your marketing but also the following:
- Your budget
- Your niche
- An assessment of your competition
- Your strengths
- Obstacles in your way and how you will overcome them
- Why people should buy form you
- What your customers love about you
- What your customers hate about you
- Proof that your offering works
- Your goals
- Strategies
- Tactics
To sum up Visibility + Credibility = Buyability
I recommend that you put some time aside to work on improving your approach to marketing. You should then work on its delivery a little every day.
