What do we want when we go back to our place of work?
In my July / August newsletter I looked at what aspects of our old working lives we didn’t want back. In this edition I look at what we do want.
Most employees want Hybrid working – that is going into the office two or three days a week – The Bank of England is encouraging Hybrid working but Goldman Sachs is insisting everyone should return to the office.
We have all missed feeling part of a physical community as well as the creative spark from working as part of a team.
Here are some things you might want in your working life:
- Extra personal space
- Workplace that is Covid-19 secure
- Being a member of a real team
- Positive frame of mind
- No excessive pressure
- Good team engagement
- Constructive mindset
- Staff retention because of good engagement
- Ability to attract new recruits
- Mental wellness
- Working smarter
- Happy customers
- Not working excessive hours
- Boosting creativity because of personal interaction
- Easy Commute – avoiding packed public transport

Growth and Profit Club
