Ideas for Success – February 2020
Thought for the Day
Three questions to ask yourself about everything you do:
1 What do I want?
2 Why do I want it?
3 How do I get it?

Learning from the Maori Tradition
I am fortunate to have recently returned from a trip to New Zealand
A must-see experience is the Māori Welcome or Powhiri, which is part welcome and part test and includes the Haka that we have all seen the All Blacks perform before a game.
Experiencing this at the Te Puia, Rotorua thermal springs brought to mind a question – what am I doing to test my new contacts and potential customers?
This can range from a full search to informal soundings to just trusting your gut. Time spent at this stage in a business relationship often saves timed resources later when you say to yourself – why did I try to do business with these people!
My question to you is what are you doing to test your new contacts and potential customers to get the assurance that you can safely do business with them?
